Please bring any forceful closure of shops & other establishments, interference into some one's rights etc., under "Bandh, Hartal" etc., Today, in kerala, even an unknown party (may be with signle digit members) can hold the entire state for ransom!!! However to some extent, the people of kerala should also be blamed for their laziness to protest aginst these menace. Some time I am forced to think that our people are more interested in a holiday than the inconvenience that may cause to other fellows. Kerala is earning a large part of revenue from tourism, and I wonder how the business will flourish under such goondaism?? If you take the ratio of this type of menace in all other states, you will find that only in kerala such barbarian methods of protest exists. Ask these organisors whether these anti people acts brought any results for which it was arranged for? They should bend their head in shame! One more question to these selfish organisors are whether they have GUTS to do it in other places than kerala where they work & reside? S.C.Menon

| Subject : How Hartals affect the growth of the state, nation and its masses. |

Hartals are the order of the day in Kerala. Though I also support Hartal against price rise, it is not the solution. Govt. has to control price rise and support the masses for a better life. Hartals bring only more hardship to common man. It is high time that this is to be controlled by enacting suitable laws so that socio-economic growth of the state would not be paralysed which in turn help for Industrial growth in the State. There are enough talents available in the State which can be utilised when there is Industrial growth advancement. Once the situation in Kerala is favourable for Industrial growth, there are every chance for companies(globally) entering the State for investment. Hartals & political high ahndedness only runis the growth and keep gloabal investors away. Though I am staying out of Kerala, looking to situations prevailing elsewhere, we also need Industrial advancement/growth in equal proporation. Therefore, unless and until the people of kerala realise the need of the hour and change their attitude, it is very difficult to achieve the goal. Whatever I have written here is my own personal view. It is upto the concerned authorities to go into deep in the subject and take appropriate action as early as possible so that our State grows, nation grows and ultimately, the poeple of the state will enjoy the fruit of it.

it seems harthal the new form of bandh cant be stoped but immediately something need to be done atleast to spare emergency services from it,,and more the worst are the frequent strikes by doctors,,,strike by doctors and teachers in a society is a clear indication of failure of the people ruling,,,since people are losing faith in that,,now is time for court to act ,,courts are last resort of people,,something need to be urgently done to prevent doctors from striking,,,wondering if they forget there pledge during strike period,

I am an ordinary citizen of this country and I am not holding any high level government jobs. But what I am is I do have a conscience and I am quite young. I also have a vision for our future which sadly our politicians lack. I am aware to the comments of certain people that courts are powerless and cant do anything about the present scenario. On the contrary I feel that courts can do more. I feel that courts are the last hope for our state. I have had strong debates with even my father about this unnecessary practice. He and many other people are of the opinion that hartal is a good thing. But I am aware of the money that is lost by way of productivity , work hours, etc. But old heads will not always think like that and ask people then what is the alternative. What I wonder is that is it the job of other peace minded people to find an alternative source. I think it is their job to find a way of protest that would not damage our state. I am working in BPO sector and I personally know many companies that said they will not come to Kerala unless this hartal mentality is erased. I am begging the politicians to set aside their petty goals and think about the future of our state, otherwise we would be left far behind, we already are !!! I request the honorable courts to find a way to stop this menace. I am not a legal person and do not know how. But I do hope and pray that people of our state come to true senses.

Sir,
This is with utmost unrest in my mind I plead for mercy to save the people of Kerala. Our constitution gives people right to move freely in their country and the law has to protect it. It was with extreme rejoice people of Kerala welcomed the ban of 'Bandh' however was short lived knowing the court just banned the word and not the meaning. World is not ending tomorrow, but that does'nt mean that we need to drain of crores worth man power. It's indeed pity of us to watch the show for mere political milage for hopeless political party which they themselves are not aware of. Please have mercy on us and in case the law arise from slumber....please ban not just the word but the whole concept.

Most Respected and Honorable High Court,
The harthal and bandhs have been declared not legal several times but still it is happening
as a threat to the common citizens. On what base a political party can intrude in to the
Citizens right to his/her freedom to travel or work?. It could not be allowed.
We should treat this as a criminal offense and should ban on the parties who declared
these harthals.No one have to right to disturb a persons personal and professional life forcefully or by any menas for any reason. We don’t want these political parties .Honorable high court, do something urgent
on this matter and take strict action against all the political parties and
peoples involved in these harthals especially the one declared for today(27th April).
We the people of Kerala is fed up with these CPM and its harthals and non democratic
activities and statements .We want to save our country from these non-patriotic political parties.
Please save atleast the people of Kerala from Harthal- the evil spirit of Kerala.
Seeking a quick action from the most Respected High Cort of kerala ASAP.

Respected Chief Justice,
IN the name of HARTAL, the political parties are suspening the most important fundamental right of the citizens.I should have right to travel anywhere in my country and do my job to earn a living. What is happening is an open violtation f the constitutional right of our citizens and insult to our great constitution.The leaders are safely sitting in their luxurious houses and the burdens are put on the ordinary people.This state can never progress unless HARTALS are banned. The leadrers could have very well fasted as Gannhiji used to do.
I earnestly request the hon'ble hight court to have mercy on us, the people of this country.

Political parties are using hartals now as Supreme Court has banned Bandhs, to stop normal life of common people. Ban Hartals - that is the only solution. yes everybody has the right to strike, but the right to strike should not curtail the right of others who want to travel, work. It is a serious crime when you stop somebody from travelling for work, pleasure or even to hospital. When are we going to change? Stop these politicians when are travelling.. stop them, block them when they go to airport for travel to abroad for fund raising or for other things.

The harthals kill the holidays of us working in private firms. When a hartal is announced, the next Sunday or holiday will become working days. When everyone enjoys the holiday,we are forced to go to work on holidays as compensation of hartal days. What for these hartals - we are the sufferers, we lose 2 days in our personal life for one day hartal. We have become resilient by force, not by choice.

Yesterday my maid was coming by auto to work and a bunch of striking political activists threw stones at the driver, wounding him so bad that he had to go to the hospital for 10 stitches. Please do something. We are tired of being held hostage by political and union parties
